K.A.D's training program prepares candidates to successfully pass welding certification tests at accredited third-party labs. We teach the fundamentals. You earn the credentials.
Important: K.A.D does not provide certifications or in-house certification. We prepare candidates to pass certification tests at accredited third-party labs. Our regular partners are QualiTech in Morgan City, LA and Partek in Houma, LA, though we'll work with any lab a customer prefers. If a trainee is hired by K.A.D and the customer requires certification upon placement, K.A.D covers the cost of third-party lab testing.
Comprehensive Trade Fundamentals
Welding Programs
Tacking, stick welding, fluxcore welding, short-arc welding, aluminum welding, TIG welding, pipe welding, and gouging.
Structural & Pipe Fitting
Structural fitting fundamentals plus pipe fitting: reading and applying blueprints, selecting materials, performing take-offs, and handling all piping tools for fabrication and installation.
Safety Practices
OSHA-aligned safety protocols, PPE requirements, and job site awareness training.
Tools & Equipment
Hands-on familiarity with every tool and piece of equipment used in the trade.
All Skill Levels Welcome: We train 1st class, 2nd class, and 3rd class tradespeople, as well as green hands with no prior experience.
Flexible Scheduling: Weekday classes run during normal business hours. Weekend classes are available by advance scheduling for groups that need off-hours training.
From Training to Certified
Join our hands-on program at our Morgan City training facility.
Learn welding, fitting, safety, and equipment operation with experienced instructors.
Take certification tests at QualiTech in Morgan City or Partek in Houma, or at any lab preferred by the customer. If hired by K.A.D Staffing and certification is required by the customer, testing costs are covered.
Certified tradespeople can be placed through K.A.D Labor Solutions or pursue opportunities independently.
